Elementary Classroom

Why should I send my child to a Montessori School

Teachers are guides, not lecturers. They individualize instruction to keep each child optimally challenged.

Children have choices, there’s no one-size-fits all curriculum. Students are encouraged to be curious; they are engaged and love learning.

The classroom is full of materials instead of textbooks and worksheets. Children learn to solve problems and think, instead of repeat memorized jargon.

The day has two 3-hour work periods, instead of a schedule where activities are constantly changed.

Children learn with and from each other, in a mixed-age environment. Instead of competing with each other, they grow into a community, and practice all-important social skills every day.

Schedules to Choose From

All Montessori classes are 5 days per week.

Students are offered Organic Milk or water to go with their lunch.to 12:00 p.m. Montessori Certified Teachers will be guiding your child in the five areas of the Montessori Classroom.

Before School Extension: As a school we do offer Before School Extension for those families that need to drop their child off before the beginning of school. During this time children are offered breakfast. Students are able to start their work if they would like or may do some before school chores to help prepare the room for the day. Children may be dropped off anytime between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. for Before School Care.

After School Extension: As a school we do offer After School Extension for those families that are not able to pick up their child after school. During this time children are offered an organic non-GMO snack. Students are able to continue their Montessori work if they would like or may do some after care extension activities. These activities will include some longer term projects, music, art, cooking and other creative outlets. Children will go outside in the Natural Classroom each day.
